Who is Ess Enchenn?

Ess Enchenn is in fact the name of a character I played in a Live Action Role Playing Game (LARP) for a few years. It has now become my internet persona.

I started mailing in 2002, to make a leather armor, specifically for the Ess character. I started with big rings, but when I finished my project, I was hooked by chainmaille. I then ordered a larger variety of ring sizes, of different materials, and experimented the possibilities of different weaves.

My first pieces of jewelry were quite simple, but I developed my creativity with the different project I designed (bracelets, necklaces, key chains, armors... etc.)

From time to time, my pieces have improved and are more intricate than before. I use now much smaller rings, with precious metals, and cut crystals that give a lot of radiance to my jewelry.

I am now proud to present my creations and those of my wife Black Widow.

I love new challenges, and I firmly believe that everything is possible, so if you have an idea of what you desire and you believe that we can make that happen, drop us a line!

Who is Black Widow?

Black Widow is in fact the nickname of a character that I played in a Live Action Role playing Game. The Countess Idril Seregon was widow of several husbands, because she was profiting from them, and always arranged things so that she would inherit of their fortune before a "sudden and unfortunate accident" happens to them… This is where the "black widow" nickname comes from….

I always had an interest for role playing games, fantasy and gothic fashion. When my boyfriend introduced me to chainmaille, all the original ideas that were floating in my head could take form in many jewelry pieces! It's been a long time since I started to develop my artistic talents (drawings, fashion designs, etc.) but I only work with chainmaille since 2004.

For my first projects, I worked on the Countess' costume, so I could learn the basic weaves, and learn to work with leather and different other materials. With Ess's help, I learned that with patience and precision, we could do marvels! And I am really proud of the realization of that project, which granted me the honors of the "Best Costume!"

With time, my designs are getting more complicated and fine. I work now with several metals, and with much smaller rings… I also give a lot of ideas to Ess from my beauty!! He calls me his "muse"...

I hope that you will be able to appreciate all the time and effort put in every piece on our web site, and that our work will generate your interest. Do not hesitate to communicate with us via email if you find something to your liking!!...

Take care!
